Nunzio Alì

Nunzio Alì is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science at the University of Catania, Italy. A former postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Political Science at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, he earned his Ph.D in Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil (2018). His Ph.D. thesis centered on social and economic inequality under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Pinzani . He earned his B.A. in Political Science in 2010 and his M.A. in Global Politics in 2012 at the Political Science department at the University of Catania, Italy, under the supervision of Prof. Luigi Caranti. Alì is the coordinator of the Colloquium on Philosophy & Global Affairs (Department of Political Science – University of Catania, Director: Professor Luigi Caranti). His main research interests concern theories of justice, economic inequality, and human rights. He is working on the book How Rich Should the 1% Be? Economic Inequality and Proportionality (Routledge, 2021, forthcoming).
